Oily skin tends to age better and advance fewer wrinkles than dehydrated or normal skin. So, it’s not all bad. The additional oil results from the sebaceous glands in the skin producing excess sebum. Those who have this condition usually have glossy skin and great pores. Oily skin can be caused by inheritances, nutritional choices, and too much strain or hormone changes in the body due to adolescence. Women also are more disposed to to oily skin during menstrual cycles, pregnancy and while taking biological control medicines. Oily skin can be difficult to manage, but there are many things you can do to resolve this common problem. There is no need to use expensive, chemical-based skin care products. Many people have found simple home remedies to be similarly effective.

Manage your skin with certain procedures

Clean your skin at least twice a day with a worthy face washes to remove the dirt and oil from your face. This will avert clogging up of the pores and keep your skin supple and smooth. Remove all make-up before hitting the bed. Include food that is rich in protein, in your daily diet. Improve lots of leafy vegetables and fruits in your daily diet. Vitamin B2 supports in preventing excess production of oil on the skin, thus, include food like kernels, beans and nuts that are rich in vitamin B2. Overuse of skin care products for scrubbing, exfoliating or washing for a smooth, clear skin can also lead to an oily skin.

Vegetables and fruits treat your skin with best properties

Tomatoes are great for oily skin due to their freezing, clarifying and severe properties. The high vitamin C content in tomatoes is very helpful for acne-prone skin. The natural oil-absorbing acids in tomatoes help get rid of excess oil. Lemon juice is a good source of citric acid that works like an astringent. It also has sterile properties that can lighten skin discolorations and restore the membrane’s pH sense of balance. Blend one teaspoon of renewed lemon juice with one-half teaspoon of distilled water. Apply it on your skin using a cotton ball. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then wash your face with warm water. Lemon juice can dry out your skin, so apply some oil-free conditioner subsequently. Do this once daily. Mix one tablespoon of lemon juice, one-half tablespoon of honey and one tablespoon of milk. Rub in this paste on your face and leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes before washing it off with cold water. If done once daily, this medicine will give you positive results within a week. Apples work as a great skin treating agent and they have mild sterile, caustic, and comforting properties that make them a great home medication for oily skin. The malic acid in apples helps exfoliate dead skin cells and fascinates excess oil from the skin’s surface.
